My left button under the touchpad finally gave up the ghost (or at least got wonky) and I succumbed to sending my T60p in to get that and a couple of other issues taken care of before my warranty expired. Three "lighter" areas/splotches came up on the lcd and the cd/dvd burner was making coasters.
So I'm tracking the repair process on the EasyServ site and got all excited when the "Machine being repaired" notice came up. That was until I realized that it only meant that they had received it from the carrier and it was probably sitting on some shelf awaiting the repair person to get to it. That lasted about a day and a half, I think, until "Last status applied was backed off" and "Hold for Parts - Service call is on hold until parts arrive." came up. It's probably that d**ned lcd screen. That's been there since yesterday afternoon. Arrrrrgh!
I hope this doesn't take long. I need it back to take on a trip and my daughter's "college" Dell 600m that she abandoned on her last trip home (she made off with my Thinkpad Z60t I had lying around) just isn't "cutting the mustard" as they say in the sticks.

Bummer. Hope they get it back to you soon.

I sorry. Tried pimping out the 600m?
Bah, humbug! My T60p is in for repairs
