I'm trying to reformat my new T61 with my Windows XP Professional and the CD Key doesn't seem to be working. I've got the LEGAL XP Professional sticker on the bottom that says "Windows XP Professional Lenovo Singapore" but the key refuses to work when I enter the product key in Windows (even before installing it). Any idea what's going on? I'm using a retail version of XP Professional.

    Thanks

You can't use an OEM CD key on a retail version of Windows.

Just an update. The OEM version of XP Professional worked. Just a reference for anyone that has the same problem I do :)
