After installing an additional 2GB RAM, I am getting random BSOD. So, after playing with minidump files and windows debuggers, I decided to check RAM with mem86. Here is one interesting thing:

    1) The original configuration of 4GB +4GB +4GB in the slots 0,1,2 passes 100% with no errors.

    2) Adding 2GB into the slot 3, returns errors in the address 7901.9MB.

The question - which chip is faulty? I would assume that the address 7901 corresponds to the slot 1.

the bottom line - how can I find out which slot causes the trouble?

    Pls advise.

    Thanks!

Test one stick at a time.

I have been running mem86 for a few hours... it looks as adding that extra 2GB causes the troubles. I hope that BSOD was because of that.
