Wondering if anyone has any advice for the blue screens I'm getting constantly. I am using vista sp1, with only AIM and cisco vpn 5.0 installed. I did a clean install of vista.

Here are the errors (this is from the reliability monitor):

Failure Type Version Failure Detail Date
    OS Stopped working 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 0x1000007f (0x00000008, 0x803d3130, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) 12/27/2008

Sorry, I cant find the actual place where the bsod message is located in vista other than an entry in the reliability monitor.

In any case, I googled 0x803d3130, and seems to indicate it might be a memory problem, but I ran memtest86 over night and there werent any problems.

Anyone have any advice at all? I'm pretty open to anything at this point! :)

    Thanks!

There might be something conflicting with your VPN connection. Make sure all external devices are unplugged from your system and go through your startup items and disable all the unecessary entries.

Have you installed any Windows updates recently?

Thanks for the replys folks. I went ahead and just restored my backup set (that one you create with the lenovo tools), and for the last 24hours everything is working great.
I'm almost certain that cisco vpn client is the culprit, but (very) unfortunately I cant work without it. It could also be some order-of-driver-install issue, but its not worth the time to keep working on it.
I didn't really want all the extra "stuff" that comes with the initial install, but I'll gladly take it if it means greater stability! :)

    Thanks again!
