Hi all, I recently had a crash on my T400 (see specs in signature) while running Vista 32bit. I received a blue screen but it didn't stay long enough for me to write everything down. The only thing I could commit to memory was a message saying, "Power Driver State Failure." When I tried to reboot the computer, the system would not turn on at all. I removed the AC cord, took out the battery and replaced it and then the system started as normal.

Startup recovery said it couldn't fix the problem but offered system rollback, which I refused for the time being. Here is an error message I got after the system was fully booted...

    Problem signature:

    BCP4: 80C5B468
    OS Version: 6_0_6001
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

System seems to be running OK for the time being and a Lenovo System Toolbox Hardware Check found no problems. I just want to see if there's anything I can do to avoid the problem escalating in the future.

    Many thanks!!

Since the problem stayed unless you unplugged the power cord and the battery, it seems not to be OS related but rather a hardware or BIOS thing. I
d update the BIOS and see if it happens again.
