    Hey everyone,
I just installed some RAM (2GB of Patriot PC2-5300 :D ) and when I powered my machine back on (after reinstalling the palmrest, which was a b!tch cuz I didn't know that not everything had to be perfect before putting the screws back on, lol)
I got a BSOD which said that my BIOS was not ACPI compliant and some stuff about either updating it or pressing F7 during "text setup" (whatever that is). Has anyone else had this problem? Oh yeah, I was booting from "hibernate," could that be the cause of my problem? Thanks in advance for explaining to me what this is!

    dude.. what were u thinkin?
putting the pc in hibernate and install ram?
    lolz...
isn't it common sense to shut down the pc and then install any hardware?

    anyways...
    whats done is done...
did u chk ur ram compatibility and max capacity?

i know its obvious but did u try to contact ibm support?
    if everything else fails..
last thing u can do is remove the new installed rams..
and then try to go back to original config...
if it goes back good for u...
u can start over with expert's help..

    Good luck... !
