Hey.
After only 1.5 years, my battery is DEAD!
It's not as if she even lasts for 10 minutes. I plug it out and 5 minutes after that it goes dead - it doesn't even get the chance to let me know that it's running out of power.
What should I do?
Should I take it up to Lenovo, or am will this be a waist of time?
How can a battery die after a year and a half of proper use?
I need to mentioned that I used it all the time, and that I followed the guidelines (I used it until it's empty before plugging it and charging again).

By the way, you can also check if there is a recall with your current battery:

You got a very long life out of that battery! Time to buy a new one. -

Mine is almost a year old and the power manager is indicating that the battery is funcationing at 96% of it's new capacity.

How many cycles have you been through? It's going to die sooner for someone using it more.

Thank you all, but what is going on?
I had a dell laptop that his battery lasted for 5 years! So where is this coming from? I also have friends that know nothing about taking care of their machines, and they all out-lasted my battery by years. -
use the run down function from the boot version of PC doctor

interesting part on reviving batteries on thinkwiki

not sure how true it is but worth a shot if you are out of warranty
also I think rmclock has some sort of "request charge" option. might help but I think only the full version of RMclock has this.
good luck
