I've researched both of these laptops so much and can't decide.
I will be using this laptop for: University so I'll be moving around a bit. Will be: Web browsing, movies, listening to music, Word/etc usage & Programming. All very basic tasks. (£400~ budget)

I've read/watched all the reviews. For every single one the B570 has gotten positive reviews on the trackpad, build, performance etc. The only problem is the battery life with 2-3~ hours surfing the net.

The G570 has gotten mixed ones, more bad really. The hinges are a big problem, the trackpad is small. But the battery life is much better than the B570.

I really can't decide, I would appriciate any input. If you have any other laptop suggestions please send them my way.

Both laptop are very basic. I would get the least expensive one or find even cheaper laptop if you have the time.

Get the one with better specs. I would say G series have overall better build quality than B, but B are better looking and fancier (they have a nice texture finish on the plastic). Anyway, I opted myself for the Ideapad entry Z series and I'm very happy I did that - excellent build quality and specs for the price.

Really? I've been reading that the G series doesn't have a good build quality compared to the B (small trackpad, hinges are poor). Otherwise, I really don't know still. Anyone with the G570 or B570 got anymore advice?
