So i just received it, along with a 4GB RAM DIMM, popped it in the left side Mini PCI-E slot, perfect fit, it had a small (i think) heatsink over the encoder that brought the height to about 5mm, i was nervous, but it fits absolutely perfect, it totally blends in with the motherboard, looks like it was always there. I'm pretty excited since it included the antenna that just hooks up like a Mini PCI-E wireless card would, and i just routed it under the keyboard and it sticks out the gap between the DVDRW/CDRW and the keyboard bezel, it's all totally integrated and the drivers CD worked fine, installed drivers just fine and glad to say it's not whitelisted in BIOS or anything.

Sort of, i took out my Turbo Memory module, useless anyways, so i decided i'd give the TV tuner a go. However just to clear things up, can i receive any small dish satellite signals with this? I have a set top box but we do not pay for satellite TV anymore (get all of our content from internet now), since we do not pay and therefore our satellite cannot receive signals, would the only way be the illegal method of using a descrambler?

the channels are all encoded isn't it? there are usually a smartcard that need to updated with new codes every so often. But what you are asking is illegal and not condoned.... but googling the term would probably yield some interesting results.
