I have a Thinkpad Edge 14 using XP PRO. When I boot my laptop I get Autochk program not found then after a few seconds, the computer would reboot and again I'm presented with the same error. An unendless loop of the computer rebooting with seemingly no way to solve it.
The computer would not boot into Safe Mode, and booting into the Recovery Console with a Windows XP boot disk is not an available option either. I've used PTedit , which shows 07 (hex),as it should be, meaning the partition is an "Installable File System", in other words a bootable drive, but yet I still have the problem of Autochk program not found, I don't want to take out my drive or lose my data (no backup) Is there an another solution ?

Just a suggestion if no one else can help: you can download a linux .iso (ubuntu for example), burn it on a cd or write it to a bootable usb, boot into a live session on your laptop and use the live session to access your drive and back up your files.

I've done this multiple times for friends. After you recover the files, you can simply reinstall if it's not a hardware issue.
