So I just installed windows 7 on my friend's z60m and the audio isn't working. I'm pretty sure the drivers are all ok but when I go to view the sound options, it looks like this

Check Windows Update to see if they have it (it is located in start menu)

already checked windows update, no audio driver updates
I think the problem is that the speakers are "Not plugged in"

strange thing, the sound was working for a little bit last night and the speakers were said to be "plugged in" and this morning they arent working anymore
    maybe its a harware issue?

ok so i just tested the sound with an ubuntu live cd and it worked so i guess it's not a hardware issue
