Once in a week I get this message on my X61 with soundmax card, Windows XP SP2.

When I install the driver everything gets back to normal and the soundcard works perfectly. Is there a way to avoid this?

Does anyone knows which update cause this?

it's strange that I've installed windows updates numerous times, and it didn't end in the driver disappearing.
