Looked at the manual, useless. Looked at the info on the computer, useless. Why is this?

My simple questions: I want to attach an external monitor. How do I make sure only the external monitor is on? If I am also using an external keyboard, do I have to have the T 60 open to operate. If not, how do I turn the computer on and off?

    Many thanks.

There should be a Fn + F? key that will force all 3 modes, mirror, exended, move to other monitor. For example mine is Fn + F4, it has a little picture of a monitor with a slash on it. I also use an external keyboard but I use both monitors so I don't close it. If you close it right now it will probably go into sleep mode. Go into control panel and select power options then change with I close the lid to do nothing. Hope this helps.
