    Hah,

    tak.japan... that happened to me...

I actually bought a Lenovo EPP laptop and usb super burner.

I received the burner within 3 days. My laptop didn't come. I cancelled it during Christmas and re-ordered from the main site with the coupon.

Imagine that, I've had a Lenovo burner sitting at home for 2+ months.

Count me in as another t61p owner who has been shipped with 1GB installed after ordering 2GB. Yes, it says 2GB on the configuration label on the box.

Is this happening to the US orders too?

Besides the memory issue, this notebook is awesome. I am so glad I waited for CTO to become available in Canada before ordering.

Ordered Jan-4, arrived Feb-8. Not bad.

Same thing with me Yorgi, but I have a x61. I just called in to cancel that 1 gb, and get reimbursed. I then bought 1gb of ram for less then half the price they charged.

I always wondered why people configure their memory from OEM.... they charge you almost double of what you pay at retail. You could just upgrade it later including memory and harddrive.... I would do the same for CPU except I don't want to void my warranty.

Maybe because "double" is only $30 more than if you buy it yourself. Why would I bother sticking in a mismatched 1GB DIMM when I can get Lenovo to give me a matched one with a 3yr warranty?

I'll put in 4GB myself when I upgrade to a 64bit OS but for now there is no point for me going that route.
