    if i were to buy an x301 right now in hopes of adding the internal DVD drive later, would that be possible?

    i can't seem to find the product page for it on the lenovo store. any help?

    ya, but you have to buy it direclty from IBM parts sales.
    All salea are final, no return , no freeshipping, only 3 month warranty...

    well, i recommend you buy it with dvd rom

    I agree. With all the hassle of getting one after the fact, just save yourself a lot of trouble, time, and $$$ and just order it with the unit.

    Or just get a USB drive. I have several X300s & an X301 with the DVD drive but they're rarely used.
