I want to get a T61 with a webcam but I'm concerned that webcams are not secure from hackers. Are webcams secure? Is there any way to shut it off?

Nope...they can hack your webcam and take your (naked) pics!!

Kidding. It's only as secure as your computer. Is your computer secure?

I would think they are fairly secure, but if some hacker who really knew what they were doing could probably... well... hack it. The question you may want to ask yourself is... Are there any really smart hackers that want to look at me? The answer is probably no. Unless you are some famous actor or political figure.
