I've had my eye on a particular model in the Outlet for some time. I have yet to pull the trigger. The regular website offers coupons and codes and deals at a ferocious rate. I'm assuming the Outlet is firm in pricing?

prices are firm i believe, but they have went down recently, due to the new releases, they sometimes even throw sales though, during the back to school sale, there were x230's with IPS displays going for 450 along with t430, y410p for 600 etc, you can get some pretty good deals but they disappear fast, so you have to be quick

Best thing to do is call and speak with a sales rep if there is no specials active. I have always found they will either tell you if a special is just around the corner or if you're a good negotiator they will normally give you a better deal.

Yup, there are definitely sales. You need to check constantly though because stuff goes quick when they do have them. When I was in the market for a w530 back in July/August there were nicely equipped FHD i7 8GB RAM k2000m models going for < 1100.

Edit: the sales I saw were mixed in with same models. Some were discounted additional percentages (and said "sale" or something in their price listing), so definitely sort through when you search.
