    Anywhere to still get a T400S?

    Just got my T410S while convincing my friend of Lenovo's merits... but my friend has a smaller budget and was wondering where to get a T400S, if it's still available at all.

    I think there were well-specced ones selling for base $800 on the Lenovo site up until January(?)... anyone know retailers that still sell new 400Ss for similar prices?

    I don't think the T400s ever sold new for $800. You can wait to see if something better comes along in the outlet. The cheapest on Google is about $1k. There's some good deals on the T400 and R400 in the outlet. It's only a pound or a pound and a half difference. They seem like a good deal for someone on a limited budget.

    t400s never sold for $800 from lenovo
    you're probably thinking of that microsoft deal, but that is long gone
    keep your eye on the outlet and ebay for best new prices
    check the used market if you need to hit the $800 mark
    i agree with ZaZ - if $800 really is the hard budget, you should probably look at the outlet T400
