I noticed recently that my new T510 has a ton of processes running and a few bloatware programs installed. Is there anything I can disable that maybe I don't use? Stuff like on screen notifications for caps lock and stuff like that. Any suggestions?

You don't want to uninstall on screen notifications - if you do, you also lose the screen brightness indicators, speaker volume notifications, etc. You can uninstall most of the ThinkVantage software if you do not have any use for it (ie, Access Connections, Productivity Center, etc), but I recommend that you keep System Update, Power Manager, and Active Protection.

If you're not sure about a program, just post and someone can tell you more about it (or, you can search the forum - this question has been posed several times).

What is Intel management and security status? It is running in my taskbar notification area.

Keep the energy management software(for the useful battery management part), then fingerprint reader software(which allow you to log in to your email account using fingerprint, bravo). APS is also useful. Most others are useless.

MSconfig.exe controls the processes that are started at startup.
Type lt's name at a run command in the menu.
