I have had no driver issues with SP1.
I have used both the SP1 pack and the SP1 Slipstream. No Problems.

I had sever problems with it. It was due to an earlier microsoft bad patch.
I think they have fixed it now.

I have vista + sp1 package integrated into one dvd... so far.. works fine.. boot up and shutdown times are pretty fast (~45secs and 7 secs respectively)... also no crashed or BSOD.. mind you i did a fresh installation and only have the thinkvantage fingerprint, active protection system and power manager installed...

you should be fine.. only problem i had was trying to connect to the internet at my school which uses cisco clean access agent... problem was cisco had not yet updated their system with sp1... but they've done that now so everything is good..

    cheers

I know it's not the T61, but my R61 downloaded and installed sp1-64 about 3 weeks ago and I have had no problems at all. If your talking about the 14" T61, the hardware should be similar. I believe the driver issues may be with the 32bit version though, because MS released the 64bit version of SP1 and must have had a reason to withhold the 32bit version for a couple extra weeks.

I have the SP1 about a month now (msdn subscribers download) and have absolutely no problems with that.

I loaded SP1 onto my T61 when running Vista Business several weeks ago.

No problems with it whatsoever driver-wise. I did go back to Windows XP, but that was mainly due to speed issues (that is, I wanted speed, and Vista even on 4GB of RAM isn't as fast as XP), and a Vista design flaw that is unlikely to be fixed by a service pack that caused audio dropouts while using the network.

Have been using it for a couple of weeks (MSDN download) and Have had no problems at all, and am still finding and discovering all the nice things that it fixed aside from the obvious. Such as file transfers, WHEW! what a relief thats (semi) fixed. And shut down times are faster.... now if I only had the guts to to a clean install so I don't have 95 ~ 110 process running all the time.. I'll be in good shape!
