This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Have done a search but dont see any real users on the g series. Anyone have any info on them and their performance, etc.

    They are getting a little old in my opinion. Most DTRs have 17" screens nowadays, but IBMs service and support are worth something. I think the best card you can get on them is the GeForce 5200, not exactly top shelf. If you are looking for a DTR, the Fujitsu n6010 and the HP zd8000 are my two personal favorites. Good Luck.
