If so, how did it go? I'm trying to squeeze some more performance out of the GPU, since it runs so ridiculously cool on stock settings. I don't really know what program I can use to overclock though, so any advice would be appreciated. :)

You didn't say you were running Vista.

Try AMD GPU Tool (or RivaTuner). And please report back if you manage to overclock it. There is no information what so ever regarding overclocking on these cards, from what I have gathered.

Unfortunately, I have no experience overclocking, so I'd rather not experiment with it myself. If anyone else has tried this, however, any feedback is appreciated.

    does NOT work:
    -ati tray tool
    -ati tool
    -amd gpu tool
    -rivatunner

do not try ati tool, it changes the clock randomly and it might damage your card! it changed mine to 20mhz, so I shut down immediately with the power button...

Dont know about the switchable graphics, but i just overclocked my 3470, with the amd gpu clock tool (only tool i could get to work) Ive got my clocks running so far at clock 800, memory 1000.

I cranked my fan all the way up, and the hishest heat i hit was 68c while playing grid.

Ill be back in a few to see the 3dmark06 reseults.

I know im bringing this thread back form the dead, but i cant find this information anywhere on this laptop (t4oo), im sure somebody out there would like to know.

thanks, I must have been using a version that wasnt supported

edit: still no go. I get "setclock failed" when I try to up it, any ideas? I am also getting stock clocks with engine speed at 723.24 and mem speed at 2670.45.

what is the exact installation procedure (for those of you that can overclock)

I used the installer that came with the program. I will say though, that the first day i was using it, it wouldnt budge the clocks. It wouldnt do anything. Then i picked it up today, and for some reason it seems to be working great.

Ive got no idea, im going to play around with it some more though, see if i can come up with a answer.
