Anyone know where I can find a direct download of Catalyst Mobility drivers?

    Hi guys,

Getting really sick and tired of Lenovo's inability to update the switchable graphics driver, and am contemplating turning off switchable graphics. Unfortunately, ATI requires the "compatibility check" driver before downloading the Catalyst Mobility Suite.

I just need the full Catalyst Mobility drivers for Win7 x64, latest version. Does anyone have a copy they could post up to a hosting site, or know of a direct link to them? I'd have even tried Omega drivers by now, but they don't have x64 ones.

    Nope.

Been pretty busy --between my job, some freelance projects, a couple mini-vacations with the wife, and running a little over 4-4.5 miles a day (getting in shape for riding my bike across Iowa), I've been pretty busy.

I kind of got addicted recently to Torchlight, which plays great on the T400, and since I got it through Steam, the player profile can sync between my desktop and my laptop --but I wanted better graphics drivers.

So, do these drivers work with switchable graphics? I have a T500 and find it disappointing that Lenovo does not seem to support what was sold as their high-end product just a few months ago.

I linked those in the Y460/Y560 thread; they helped my Y460 gaming performance in a very noticeable way.

For those with switchable graphics: make sure your power button is set to actually shut off your machine, and then turn on your ATI card. Install the drivers, and when they're done, the screen will go blank. Don't panic -- wait for the drive light to slow down, and then press your power button and let Windows shut itself down normally.

Power it back on, and you're good to go.
