I can't find the 14" version of the t61p in the tabook so i'm trying to find out how bright the screen is and what it's contrast is. I called Lenovo and asked the he wasn't able to pull up anything for the 14" either. He just kept reading off the specs for the 15.4" t61p. Anyone have one and know?

I thought T61p and T61 are the same screens, LG is 200nits and Samsung is 180nits, but don't take my words.

The two numbers I pulled up on the T61p (I don't know if it depends on 15.4" vs 14.1" or Samsung vs LG) were 175 nit and 150 nit.

    14.1" T61 p: 150 nits.

Same as on the 14.1" T61 SXGA+ models.

Typically Samsungs, as far as I recall.

I've no idea about the 15.4" T61p models.

Can't remember the contrast ratios either.

I think maybe the 15.4" is the 175 nit.

The 15.4" T61p model is 200 nits and 500:1 contrast. I was afraid the 14" T61P probably used the same screen as the regular T61. 150 nits and 200:1 sucks. I'm probably not going to get one now.

Yeah - I think you're correct. Both those 14.1" models use the exact same Samsung displays.

At least they did, when I was researching all this last August.

Mind you, I'm quite happy with my screen.

But mostly, all I cared about were vertical pxls.
