    Good News!

I am getting a new T61p because I have a dea pixle on my current screen.

I already have a Samsung screen and the new one has an LG so when I get the new T61p I am going to do a comparison/review of the two screen!

I don't think the dead pixle will affect the comparison because it is kinda hard to see and it won't have any affect on the brightness, viewing angles, or colors the screen produces.

So I am expecting the new laptop on tuesday but unfortuntly I am out of town until friday. My comparison/review will probably be posted on Saturday.

Okay so what do you guys want to see in the review? Is there anything that you guys want to see or want to know about the two screens so that I can add it to my review?

Yes, I too will be very interested in seeing the difference between the two. I know the infamous problem with the Samsung screens with the M1530 with the grainy screens, but I know it also doesn't affect the T series nearly as much as it did the Dell's.

Please post detailed pictures of how big icons and text look on the WSXGA+ screen. Examples are like firefox up and browsing a site, a word document and desktop icons and start menu. Please don't resize anything or change any DPI settings, I want to see the screen as is. Thanks a lot!

how did you manage to get convince the to exchange you a new laptop? Did you have to pay the 15% restocking fee as their policy is a mininum of 5 dead pixel required.

It was actually really easy I called tech support and the guy told me that there is nothing he could do I continued to argue starting to annoy him and he offered to connect me to a supervisor. Well the supervisor wasn't avalible and he told me that I would b called back in 45-60min. It took 10min to get the call back I explained to him that I got the laptop 5 days ago and started to annoy him. He then told me he would set it up so that I could send this one back and put in an order for a new one. He gave me a number(can't remmber what he called it) and then told me to contact sales. I called sales and they set up a new order all in all it took about an hour. 30-45min was spent re ordering the laptop.

Either that or the fact that I purchased it through my Dads work which buys thousands of them.

LOL. I think this was probably helpful if it was purchased via a business that makes large orders. Imagine being the supervisor who lost a company's business due to 1 stuck pixel!

For us small guys I don't think they would care at all.
