I just got one with:
- Intel Core i7 7500U (2.70 GHz)
- 16 GB Memory 512 GB PCIE SSD SSD
- NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
- 1920 x 1080
With a small discount, it was only around $1150 USD on Newegg!
- Windows 10 Home
I guess it must be very new, as I haven't seen many reviews out there, but I think it is a pretty good machine so far. I'm not going to go into a detailed review because I am not super tech savvy, but if anyone wants any details or has one and could answer some questions I have feel free to post!
Some questions/concerns:
- The fan seems to turn on and off repeatedly when the computer is under moderate load which can get really annoying. I contacted Lenovo support and they told me to change the fan to "Quiet Mode" in the BIOS, but I am assuming this will either cause the machine to get warmer or lower the performance.
- I don't know much about throttling, but I was playing a light game and downloading something from the internet and the game started to lag quite a bit (something I didn't have an issue with on my previous machine with similar specs). I do find it quite amazing that such a small 14 inch ultrabook can stay cool and still play some relatively demanding titles

Is this about the Lenovo MIIX 720? I didn't find an owner's thread for it, too?
It is promoted as the competitor to the Surface Pro and does beat it in quite some ways.
I've got one a few weeks ago and so far I'm impressed and generally satisfied.
I checked the BIOS and as far as I remember it was set to quiet mode by default. I don't realise the fan usually but only when the CPU is at high processing.
There where some things to overcome, to name:
- some drivers were not up to date (probably causing Bluetooth to stop working after three weeks). This is normal for such a new machine, however neither Windows Update nor the Lenovo tools fixed this. After using a third party tool (Driver Booster) to update them, everything worked fine.
- The display doesn't have a coating, or if it has, it is much too rugged for smooth touch and pen experience. Easy fix to add a decent panzer glass foil (which is anyway a good idea to protect it).
- the Function keys can be easily activated and (unintentionally) deactivated using Fn + Esc.
Some advantages to Surface Pro:
- three inbuilt USB ports (type C, 2.0 and 3.0). very happy for this as I often have scenarios needing me to transfer files from one to another USB device.
- 2880x1920 WQHD Display
- the thing can be opened supposedly allowing you to change things like SSD, RAM, WiFi/BT card, battery etc (not tested - to be confirmed)
- near perfect type cover at no extra charge included -
