I bought my thinkpad with 3 years of thinkpad accidental damage warranty. I was just wondering if anyone's had to use the accidental damage warranty and how their experience went. I've heard stories of other manufacturers where they did not honor the accidental damage.

I have it. I popped a key off the keyboard and received a new one. I don't know whether that was warranty or accidental damage protection.

I did read in Help tonight that batteries will be replaced under warranty, I wonder if batteries are warranted the same way as the rest of the machine?

I have. I've had a cracked LCD on my T40 as well as a cracked hard drive cover. Both were replaced under TPP.

How was the quality of replacement parts? Were they used/refurbished or new?

3 weeks? I've never had depot warranty repair turnaround time take more than 3 DAYS.

New. The TPP is essentially a warranty that covers pretty much everything.
