This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Anyone else have R&R 4 break machines?

    Installed R&R 4.0 on both the T60 and C100, and wonderfully broke both machines. They work, but the R&R setup crashes trying to load into windows. Guess I will break out the R&R3 discs, and do a network restore of both machines to pre-4.0 :p

    That's odd... I installed R&R 4 without any problems. After it updated the "hidden" partition to R&R4, I simply uninstalled it from Windows, as I use Acronis True Image Home 10 for my backup needs. Backs up EVERYTHING, is fast, and quick. I only updated the hidden partition to R&R4 because I figured it would give it better performance/features? I have no need to keep it running for windows ;)

    The R&R is quite nice when working, maybe it is barfing in combination with something else.
