I purchased a T61p refurb on Thursday and have yet to receive my Purchase Confirmation. It said I would receive it within 1-2 business days. I've never purchased anything on the web and had to wait several days just for a receipt.

    I'm getting worried.

My confirmation email arrived exactly two business days after my outlet purchase. So take it easy and wait for a few more hours.

Yup. I bought an R51 from them a while back. Had to exchange it because the VGA out was missing red. My replacement works fine. Be sure to check it out thoroughly in the first 30 days to make sure eveything works properly.

Will definitely be checking everything as thoroughly as possible within the time frame they allot. I read somewhere you only get 21 days from the invoice date and a 15 percent restocking fee may be applicable, while others have stated 30 day no questions asked guaranteed. I certainly hope it's the latter.

That completely sucks that your VGA output was missing a channel. It sounds like you got everything taken care of without too much trouble, though. What happens when something like that is wrong with a refurb? Do they just build you a new one with the same specs? Or just repair or replace the afflicted part. The chances of their being another refurb with the same exact specs at that same moment you need it replaced are slim.

Again this is my first refurb of any product, so just seeking some education.

Everything works great on this one. The way it happened for me is they sent me a shipping label, I sent back the original one, and they sent me another refurb unit with the same specs. I don't know what they do with the returned units. I think most of the refurbed units come from off-leases, mostly corporations.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Hopefully everything will be good on my system but it's good to know that if it's not they take care of you.

Still no word on a purchase confirmation. I have the page bookmarked where my particular model was, and it's not there anymore. So that's a good sign I think. They aren't selling my machine to someone else :p Still, not hearing anything is killing me.

I would have thought buying via outlet would be a lot faster than a new one since they don't have to take the time to build it. Reading through the ship date thread on this board makes me realize it would have been faster to go new. People are getting their systems shipped faster than I'm getting my purchase confirmation.

I gave Lenovo a call. Couldn't make out his accent, he was a bit hard to understand but helpful, though I didn't get any information as to why I hadn't received my confirmation.

He provided me with my order number and said it would be shipping out the 28th, but it could be sooner. I sure hope it's sooner. That seems like such a long time. It's not like they have to build it. It seems they are getting new ones out a whole lot faster. Anyone know what process the Outlet division of Lenovo goes through? It must be quite different than the built to order new stuff.
