The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi everyone,

    I am on the brink of buying a new PC and it's come down to a DV2000t and an IBM Z61t. The Z61t has EVERTHING I want in a ntebook right now, and while the D2000t is close, Id rather go with the Thinkpad. However for what I want the IBM is going to be at least $700 more for what I want in similar specs.

    If anyone is able or willing to share their info so I can purchase via EPP to make my decision easier, I would truly appreciate it!
