Anybody know if all the air vents underneath are intake vents?

My hands aren't sensitive enough to tell whether the vents underneath are sucking or blowing air so maybe one of you might know although I think they're sucking air in.

This picture is from the X201 but I'm going to assume that my X200 is pretty much the same. I'm thinking about getting the Cooler Master Notepal U3 to take care of the three highest temperature area (93, 91, and 89).

yes they are the intake vents... the most important one (by that i mean the one with the most airflow) is the one labelled 93 (i am assume this is the temperature measurement) in the picture that you posted.

If you have kept the X200 running 24/7 for a year, then you would see a build up of trapped dusts on the mesh located within vent 93.

You aren't going to need the Notepal for a desk. Are you looking for something for your lap? If so, I highly recommend the Logitech Comfort Lapdesk for Notebooks

The X200 doesn't get as hot as the X201, my X200 barely heats up during idling and watching movie is no problem either. The only time it gets luck warm around the CPU area is when you strain the CPU for about 10 minutes or more.

Several years back, the SO got me an e-Pad from Brookstone. Increcibly comfortable to use, and angled up. It worked well with my T61, and better yet with my T400. That way, I keep the vents open when I'm on the couch.

Nah, it's not something for my lap as I primarily use my laptop on the desk. I only looked at the Notepal because it had three fans and I can place them anywhere on the provided mesh. Thanks for the recommendation for future references. :)

My X200 doesn't really get that hot either but it's just that there's basically no window in my room so my room gets hot which makes my laptop a bit warmer than usual. Thanks for your answer though!

Thanks for the suggestion. That bean-bag-looking thing looks comfortable on the lap. :D
