    Any way to disable the "Thinkpad" screen at boot?

    Anyone know? I figure this takes up some boot time and is completely pointless--it would be nice to know if this is possible. THanks!

    Its the bios screen, its not there for looks and allows you to enter the BIOS utility, boot into safe mode, and choose boot devices. Its not pointless.

    I thought all you need to do is press F1 to get into Bios? I thought the screen was just there to tell those who don't know that to press the "thinkvantage" button?

    nope its the Bios screen, every computer has some sort of bios screen
