This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Any way to add USB to older Thinkkpad?

    I would like to add an external CDROM drive to my (old, but runs great) Thinkpad, Model 755CS. The ones I've seen for sale need USB connectivity. I would love to add a USB port as well. Does anyone know whether either of these are doable, and/or what products I should look for? Thanks so much for any feedback!

    You can certainly get PCMCIA accessories that provide extra USB ports. Here's an example product on Amazon:
