Australians should celebrate July 4th. It led to them getting a better deal with the Crown. No? :D

If we start the Melbourne or Sydney Tea Party, then become a Republic on 4th of July, sure i think that is possible.

Today is the last day of it I think, but iotcl53aNJAC will get you 20% off an X series or W Series and 10% off a T series.

Here's a T410s for sale locally (slightly used). You might be able to talk them down a bit on the price and get them to ship it to you.
    (link deleted)
That's a sweet machine. "Slice" battery, SSD and switchable graphics.

    EDIT: It's been sold.

If anyone comes across a good coupon for a T series please do post. I am specifically looking for a T410s. Some where between 1000-1200 is my budget.
    Thanks to everyone in advance.

Take a look at slickdeals.net. Looks like the Microsoft store is offering 40% off discount on the X301 and the T410s. But the ones listed on there only come with the really slow 120GB 1.8inch harddrive, not the SSD.

    Hey furrycute,
I couldn't find either of the deals you mentioned above on either of the websites :( Maybe they expired real fast.
    Appreciate the effort though :)

    Myung,
sorry for the late response. I actually got it on ebay. I knew I wanted a T410s with the intel 6200 and an 80GB intel SSD specifically and it just so happened that someone was selling a brand new machine, unopened for a pretty decent price. The extra 2 gigs of ram and the 3 year warranty were a real bonus!!! The same config on the SPP site comes up to $1304+Tax (with just 2 gis of ram) The best part is, I don't have to wait for ages for lenovo to bulid it and ship it. It was shipped on friday and should be in my hands monday or at the latest tuesday!!!
To be honest though I didn't expect my bid to win but maybe the fact that the seller was a fairly new selller without a whole lot of feedback prevented others from bidding on it.
I bought my previous T410 brand new off ebay as well and was happy with that transaction so I decided to tak the plunge again.
