Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for fixing palm rest flex on the right side of a T61. The seam between the palm rest and the remaining part of the housing isn't flush on the right side, as it is on the left (To better describe, it's where the bottom of the keyboard is, near the right arrow key). Is there a simple Phillips-head solution to this? Thanks.

Well, depending on what is underneath that palmrest, you may be able to open it up and reinforce it with almost anything you can find... even cardboard.

You can try loosen the screws for the palm rest and re-tight them in a cross pattern so that it might sit properly. Here are the instructions on how to remove/install the palm rest for the T61:

Thanks!! I was wondering if loosening it might help.

I had a problem with the left side. I reinforced it with folded index cards and tape.
not very elegant, but worked fine for me
