I'm trying to draw out a bit more performance on the i7-4700MQ.

So far, I tried increasing the core ratio with modded BIOS. This doesn't work. can't raise the multiplier past 24 (stock multiplier).

I also tried going through every clock generator in setFSB to increase the bus speed. No result.

Be warned that the BIOS mod does not support the latest editions of the Y410p/y510p.

Overclock can be done with Intel XTU. It allows you to increase the multiplier by 2x so the cpu can actually hit 3.6GHz.

The modified bios from svl7 so far are limited in terms of what they can do. If you are on bios v3.05, you need to "downgrade" to v2.07 and then use the bios mod. However, the 2.07 mod is only a whitelist removal so no bios menus are unlocked. It only allows you to use whatever wifi card you want. You will need v1.07, 1.09, 1.1 bios to get the unlocked stuff and Idk if there is a way to get that version yet if you are already on a higher version.

If anyone has the BIOS mod and can mail it to me that would be awesome. I'm running the 2.07 bios and need to remove the whitelist!
