Any info on T410 shipping experiences?

I haven't seen a topic specifically talking about people's experiences receiving the T410. (not the s-type)

I placed my order on the 13th.
Got my emails immediately.
Got the status check page, no info the first night
Next day, I got an estimated ship date of 4/22. Totally fine.

However, scouring these forums reveals a lot of people having horror stories about shipping times and misinformation. Lenovo apparently has trouble communicating to its customers.

Either way, I'm willing to wait as long as necessary for this notebook as I need it for school and I really don't see myself being happy with anything else (especially from Dell and HP or similar.)

Thinkpad is one of the few companies that still uses high quality plastics and good construction quality. Every other notebook I've touched has had immediate flaws that I can not see myself paying money for.

Anyway, can anyone share their T410 experiences? When you ordered, received, etc? I'm hoping my situation won't turn into another horror story

 

I ordered March 24th with an estimated ship date of mid april (4/11 if I remember correctly). But it actually shipped later in the same week on March 27th.

So I had a very good experience. I guess I got lucky. Especially since the configuration I ordered isn't even available anymore (no more NVS3100M discrete graphics option)

 

Actually, I think there's a mistake on the website. Someone must have messed something up because the "elite" model that is listed as having the nvidia card does not have it, while the "upgraded" model has the option to include the nvidia card.

Naturally I opted for the configuration that includes the card. Now this was on 4/13. My order statement lists the 3100m as part of the configuration so here's to hoping they actually put it in. And don't delay it.

 

The T510 page is laid out in a similar fashion...

Out of the 4 models offered, one of them being express ship, the model that's one step above the base model has the Nvidia as an option. While all three others do not.

Some kind of weird layout. I remember there being options for all of them.

 

Mine shipped 5 days after I placed the order, and it arrived at my door 2 days later (from Hong Kong to the states). Depending on queue, and supply, shipping times can vary greatly.

 

Well I just checked the status page today and it shipped

Looks like everything is going to be alright. If it's in UPS's hands, then I can sleep comfortably.
