    Hi ibmthink or anyone,

Is there any leak informations about the specs of ThinkPad E340 (the successor of E330) ? I hope Lenovo will give 1600x900 or 1080p screen on E340.

According to the roadmap, there is no E340, but we will see. The two major ThinkPad-announcements has been made (the ThinkPads with ULV CPUs last week on IFA, the ThinkPads with Standard-Voltage and Quad-Core today on the IDF). But again, we will see if there will be an E340.

I believe I ever saw a leaked lenovo document (pertaining the RAM if I'm not wrong) in one of the thread here that has E340 word in there. E330/E335 is the only 13 inch modern thinkpad that currently exist despite carrying Edge name (don't puke up, guys). I hope Lenovo will not abandon it.

Btw I just realize that you are a notebook deity :notworthy:

I guess Thinkpad Edge 13" is dead now, the newest E lineups like E450/E460 could be considered as successor to the E330 as it has no optical drive and has thinner form factor so the weight could be roughly same to E330.

The bad thing about E450 is the processor is ULV type, but I guess the ULV processor has become standard now. The full watt processor nowadays is restricted only to desktop replacement notebook like gaming or workstation notebook.

Also they still retain the crappy 1366x768 screen resolution option :(, I wish they can make it like lenovo Z40-70 where the default resolution is Full HD.

    Also, no VGA port anymore.

    UPDATE 2016:
Thinkpad 13" is not dead yet! Lenovo is releasing Thinkpad 13. It has optional Full HD display.
