The lenovo password manager actually functions pretty well outside of having to go back and change each entry to fingerprint authentication. What bugs me is not being able to get rid of the tray icon. I freekin HATE how every little thing wants to have an icon down there...especially the ones that have no usefullness there and cant be gotten rid of. For my taste, power icon for quick battery use or charge status, and instant messaging are the ONLY 2 things I like to have down there with the clock.
Unfortunately the Lenovo password manager has one of those useless icons that bugs the hell out of me, so I am on the hunt for something else that does the same but with an icon that at least can be disabled if it has one at all. Just want some basic convenience with the internet, giving just a swipe instead of entering in login info, nothing fancy. I would of thought things like this would be pretty common, but after some digging around that doesnt appear to be the case.

I discovered my answer today. Protector Suite 2011. MUCH better then the Lenovo fingerprint software and password manager! Just is a lot more seamless, robust, and polished in comparison (and no mandatory tray icon!). I def recomend that if you regularly use the reader.

I'm assuming you were using the ThinkVantage Client Security Solutions?

Will Protector Suite 2011 work in Chrome? It seems that the Lenovo password manager only works with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Try RoboForm Everywhere. With RoboForm you can enable fingerprint authentication on WBF readers and UPEK readers both. RoboForm works with IE, Firefox, Chrome and Opera browsers. I have been using RoboForm Everywhere for password management and like the name states, RoboForm is EVERYWHERE. You can access it online, place it on a flash drive and it will move from computer to computer!
Any good basic fingerprint password manager that works with our readers?
