    Hey,

My Lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop came with Vista Home Premium a couple of years ago, and now I'd like to switch to Windows 7. I'm aware that there is a hidden partition for one-key recovery that's used for the "Novo" button.

Since the recovery is only for Vista, will it be safe to completely delete all existing partitions and to create just one large one for Windows 7? Will I have any firmware issues? Any problems at all?

    Thanks a lot.

If you don't care about keeping recovery partition you should be fine.

I've done it, putting a MSDN system back. There is no reason not to.
