Hi, I am from Canada and just ordered a t60(2007-4CU) two days ago from Lenovo, I was only told an estimated delivery date in 4 weeks. due to the lack of online order status checking tool, I will I have to call in every couple days to find out.
So I was wondering if there is any canadian people got the t60 already? If so, when did you order and when did you receive it?
    Thanks a lot.

I just ordered mine on Friday, May 5, and they told me it would take up to 3-4 weeks. Did you get yours within the quoted 4 weeks? Would like to know what to expect... Thanks in advance.

Not to be a bummer, but I ordered my T60 on 4/17/06 (EPP). The ship date showed 5/12/06 so I called to day to verify it would ship this Friday. Isnt gonna happen. Apparently the DDR667 memory is on backorder. They indicated my notebook would ship near the end of May which means I would probably get it the 1st or 2nd week in June.

I will call them in a week or so - if there are any further delays, I will be cancelling the order and looking at another brand.

    BTW - my notebook is a 2623DDU.

So, I inquired with my Lenovo Rep - who I must say has been extremely helpful so far - about the memory backorder situtation and here's what she said:

We are expecting to receive the T60, 200772U, that you ordered between May 26-29th. The extra 1GB RAM is not due to arrive until early June. If you would like to receive your ThinkPad sooner, it would be best to send the RAM separately.

I'm not much of a techie but I understand that adding RAM is not that difficult. I might go that way - I'll just keep on checking on the status of the RAM and decide closer to the laptop delivery date. Any advice?

Just out of curiosity - the 2623DDU is not listed on the Canadian Lenovo site, only on the US site and I can see that is is on great sale right now. Did you order from the US site? If so, are you having it shipped to a Canadian address? I'd like to know more because at that price, I'd love to change my order...

I ordered mine from the US site (I am in the US). I have already cancelled my order.

Bigoudi - your conversation with the Lenovo rep is very interesting because I actually asked my rep if I could do exactly what your rep suggested - cancel the extra RAM order to allow the notebook to ship sooner. He actually indicated to me it would make NO DIFFERENCE in that the system RAM was also on backorder (which makes sense since the modules are the same).

Yes, it struck me as funny too but I just assumed that they put the priority on shipping the laptops and that additional RAM orders would come next... Maybe I'm just naive... I'll check again with the Rep and will let you know what she says..
