Is there any battery drain software out there to simulate real world usage and let me measure actual battery life on my Z61m? Thanks!

Um ... real world usage and a stop watch? ;)

There's software that torture tests notebooks, like battery eater ... some people just do the LOTR test and see how far they can get into the movies before the notebook dies on various screen brightness settings, etc. The best way to figure out how your notebook reacts to the conditions you put it though is to simply use it and time yourself.
