    Hi Guys,

Just ask something about anti-glare of x201, I really don't know if this related for the anti-glare function of x201 or not. We're exploring what is new about this unit then we just a little bit confused, that when we opened one picture, first it was blured then just second it became clear. We've tried it a couple of time with different photos but have the same behaviour, so if any one can help us to explain, are really much appreciate.

I guess you don't refer to the screen, because X201 uses matte displays- I mean, "what glare"???

The behavior you describe (lag of some seconds) reminds me of what happens with older laptops. Opening “typical” pictures in my X201 presents no much problem. What kind of photos are you looking at? RAW? Or very large JPEGs? And which program are you using to look at them? Maybe then (I mean, with very large files) you get this kind of lag due to the low-end graphics performance of the Intel chips. Do you have the latest driver?

As fem mentions, depending on the image and the program displaying it, you might be seeing a progressive display of the image while it loads.

    Hi fem,

we just opened the picture from the default sample pictures, and the driver, not really sure beacuse we just exploded the win7 pro bundled with x201, I thought it was the anti-glare feature of this unit hhaahaha, anyway I'll check on it.

    Thanks again.....

Well, I cannot help you with the Win7 driver because I am running XP. I am sure, though, that somebody else here can tell you which one is the latest.

Edit: or just run the thinkpad update utility.

But, I mean, the sample photo with win viewer??? I am surprised...

It sounds like a graphics driver is not (properly) installed. Though I have usually seen this laggy graphics artifacts on old machines.

In any case try updating the graphics driver and see if it gets better.

This reminds me: and in the preview display of older digital cameras, not just computers.
