I was browsing the Lenovo outlet and noticed T500's that listed the following for their display:

    15.0" WSXGA+ (1680 X 1050) TFT, Flexview Display w/ Wide Viewing Angle

I don't see FlexView or anything of the sort mentioned anywhere in the tabook or the CTO pages.

What a tease. Boe-Hydis is back in business let's see if they use them in their next refresh of the "T" or "W" series.

Anything's possible (albeit unlikely). I know Lenovo has sold some out of spec models through the outlet and private channels (e.g. an x200 with a T9400 CPU).

If you order it, Lenovo would probably either deliver you a FlexView model, or [more likely] offer you a discount on a non-FlexView model (just like free 128GB SSD debacle with the x200).

Hopefully, they will bring IPS FlexView back for the T501, as it really is a superb technology.

The AFFS+ on your tablet is suppose to be better with faster response times.

That would be amazing if they have that. However, there is no widescreen 15" screen that is produced by BOE-Hydis that I know of, unfortunately

Yes, the Tablet display is fantastic (AFFS+, LED, indoor/outdoor, and generally superb).

However, many people (not myself) don't like tablets, need a discrete GPU in their laptop, and/or find 1280x800 to be too low of a resolution. These people have been without an option since the T60P FlexView was discontinued).

Jon and I were thinking the same...wsgx+ is an odd error to make.
