I am wanting to shut down a few programs that come on at start up that I don't need run all the time. I can't figure out what these all are. Which should I shut down. I don't need the wireless connection yet so it can go. I am on dial up for now. These are the programs that I am wondering about:
S3Tray2 , SynTPLpr, SynTPnh, igfxtray, hkcmd, TpKmapAp, TpShocks, TPHKMGR, tp4ex, EzEjMnAp, ucstartup, sgtray, tfswctrl, ibmmessages, ccApp, ibmprc, QCTRAY, QCWLICON, pwrmonit, Bmmlref,BatInEx, Digital Line Detect.
I am impressed with the R51 Thinkpad so far seems to be very solid machine, much better than the Dells that I looked at. Many thanks

I'd recommend just Googling on each of these terms and digging up information, you certainly don't need all of them on startup.
