Just my short thoughts on my new T400 I received a few weeks

This is my first laptop, so I can not compare to any others.
This site was very helpful in my decision to go with this model.

-I have the LG screen (42TO497) and colors, etc look good on
all the pics i have opened.

-As far as the keyboard... if I had not read all the comments on this forum,
I would not even be bothered by it. Mine flexes under normal typing
at the upper left corner. Around keys from the ESC button down to
    around the W key.
Flex also around the backspace key.

I think I will order the older T61 keyboard.
Its not real annoying, but knowing its there is still just a bit annoying!

-I have noticed that the bottom rubber feet at the right front side
could sit a bit more firmly on a table. On mine you can slide a piece of paper
thru with only a little bit of resistance.

-I wish it had a svideo port out, never realized it to be honest.

-The keyboard think light, while not blinding in the total darkness,
does seem to be in the need of a bit more plastic cover.

All in all so far happy with the T400, but will be getting a new keyboard
    to make my experience 100%.
Does anyone have a link to the part number?

    Thanks,
    Sean

I think the best bet for the keyboard is ebay, just get the t61/r61 keyboard, its like 80$ from lenovo... how much battery life do you get? or how much does it estimate?

I have the 6 cell battery and the 160gb 5400 hard drive
as I am typing now at 82% left it showing 4:26 left.
however, the little icon drops to 3:50 and back to 4:26, so not sure :)

My wife is using it mostly and she charges it when it reaches 15% or so.
but i believe she is getting at least 3:45 out of the battery,
with wireless on 100%, integrated graphics and brightness slider in the
    middle.

    -Sean

Now at 80% and 4:09 left.

To be honest, if I had not read this site, I would never know its an
'issue'. Before finding this site, I was looking at this brand for its
    quality and well made keyboard.
Would I buy this again? Yes in a heartbeat.

Its my first notebook, so maybe all others are way worse, I have no idea.
    :)
