Annoyed: Dumb girl unplugged my laptop

I'm at my local coffee shop and I come prepared. I pack my T61, mouse, power brick, and extension cord. Obviously there's only so many accessible outlets.

So I'm sitting here and this girl asks if she can use my extension cable to plug in.

I say: "Sure, go ahead." The stupid &*%@# UNPLUGS MY CORD, plugs hers in, and then plugs mine in on the other side!!!

WTFREAK???

So my question is...
Is it bad for you to unplug your laptop for 5 seconds and then plug it back in?

Some people are so freaking stupid. And I say this from the stand point that she could have just used one of the other two available slots.

 

Not at all. The laptop merely runs on the battery for the time it is unplugged.

 

Don't worry, your laptop's fine.

I didn't want to be the first one to say it but: if you have to ask this question, you're in no position to call anyone else "computer stupid".

 

sarcasm fellas... read between the lines and take the story for its entertainment value.

 

Why keep on attacking her if it's no harm? Maybe she just wanted to start a conversation with you and changed her mind later, which seems a smart idea judged from what I read here.

Now that would be a pretty smooth move, if she knew what she was doing. The fact that she screwed it up, by playing musical chairs with the plugs, puts her way out of that league.

 

I thought this forum had some dignity and was more than an animal house.

Ok first off it doesnt matter if shes hot, she spent the absurd amount of money to get a macbook, thus she is stupid. Also the entire thing is pure satire come on guys grow a sense of humor!

 

I think this post has gotten out of hand. Can we either get back to the issue with the Lenovo or move on?
