I have an A21M with a Pentium 3. When I press the power button it begins to turn on and I can hear some hard drive activity for a few seconds but then nothing happens. The LCD does not display anything either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

how about a 3-foot drop (joking, of course. you'd need at least a 30-foot drop for any appreciable hardware changes)

is your battery charged / are you running on mains?

and can you get to the BIOS?
if yes, how about enabling the self-check during boot
maybe your cpu does not respond, or your memory fails, or your bridge does not respond
maybe you can switch on the verbose mode to see what's going on, though it may be too quick to see what's going on

I can't get to the bios. The battery is no good so I using the A/C power. I was hoping there was an inexpensive solution. This is an old machine and not worth spending a lot of money on.
