I've searched through this site and have been unable to find an answer to this exact question -
I'm trying to output to S-Video or Component video source via either VGA or DisplayPort, preferrably through DP. Without spending at least a cool $100 for a digital-analog converter box and two or thre other cables/adapters, how can this be done? This proprietary DisplayPort that's been out for nearly a decade is great and all but why can I find no adapters/accessories?? I even called Lenovo who said yes this is available, but they don't sell it.

Anyone with better luck than me?

Oh and yes, this is my 1st post on this forum, I'll admit I've done my fair share of lurking and one of the 'Clean XP Install' threads helped me find that BIOS setting that's oh-so annoying when trying a start from format install... Thanks for everyone's help.

    Bumping and...

Has no one ever needed to try outputting their laptop to S-Video or Component? My searches make me believe no, but with most laptops having S-Video built in for so long I can't imagine no one has looked for this before?
