I bought a used X30 on Ebay. According to BatteryMaxiMiser, the battery was manufactured in October 2002 and 141 charge cycles I get about 3 and a half hours of battery life without wireless. If I were to buy a new battery, are the knock-off brands on Ebay okay to use? How long of battery life can I expect?

What is the cell count and capacity of your battery?
I found that the generic li-on batteries on ebay were not nearly as good (for my digicam) as the original canon battery.
Also how do you know your battery has had 141 charge cycles? -
-
Most small-size batteries have 6 cells
-
i think the X series have 4 cells or 8 cells
My maxiMiser doesnt tell me how many charge cycles,... Where? -
Click on the Green battery on your taskbar, then click on Battery Information. -
The x30 had a six cell battery. I think it was 4-5 hour depending on usage.

Download mobilemeter and check your battery wear rate. (google it)
Mine X22's battery wear was at a lovely 50% so I only had 1 hour and 45 minutes of charge with wireless and full brightness.
I just bought a new battery off of ebay for about 50$ shipped. It's working fine until it explodes and takes out my desk.
I'm kidding about the desk part, I have a 1 year warranty on it anyway in case something does happen.
If you find a battery on ebay make sure it has at least a 6 month warranty on it.
Am I getting expected battery life on my X30?
